Whitins Reservoir in Douglas.
We're going to try this again, looks like the weather will cooperate this time. This time we will portage over the road at the far end and into the other section of the reservoir, which is 2 or 3 times bigger than the section we paddled last Tuesday, so it should be a good paddle.
Tuesday, July 29th.
Meet at 6:00pm at the Whittier Farm Stand, 86 Douglas Road, Sutton, MA.
Directions from Worcester:
Take Rt 290 towards Auburn.
Rt 290 will turn into Rt 395.
Take Exit 4A (Sutton Ave, Sutton)
Follow for 2.7 miles.
Take right onto Douglas Pike (Whittier's Farm sign on corner. This is the third street on the right once you get onto Sutton Ave).
Follow Douglas Pike for 3/4 of mile to end of street.
Whittier Farm Stand is on the right.
Once everyone is there, we will all drive to the launch site (about 1 mile away).
In the water by 6:15. About 1 1/2 hour paddle.
