Introduction
Hi, I'm Carol and I have been kayaking for 7 years. I have a large group of friends in the Nashville area and we have a lot of fun kayaking the Piney, Priest Lake and the Current river in MO. Several of my family also kayak
How long have you paddled - kayak, canoe or both?

7years with kayaks

Where have you paddled?

TN: piney river, priest, Old Hickory and Cheatham lake, Stones, lower stones, Piney, Buffalo and Hiwasse rivers: Mo: Current river and Clearwater lake OKla: Illinois river and arcadia lake KY: Lake Malone NC: Santeetlah

Tell about your favorite paddling experience...

I love the Current River in Missour - large, clear, cold and fun quick spots - only 5 hours away. Locally the Piney is the best

What is your dream paddle?

I don't know that it's a dream paddle but I do want to do the Buffalo in Arkansas someday, will probably happen in July

My Meetup Groups

  •  A great place to find people to kayak with wheather going with the group or on your own adventure with some great new friends. There is so much information out there on shopping, gear, places to kayak, classes offered for various types of kayaking and so on and bringing people together to share all this knowledge is wonderful. Kayaking is a great sport whether it be white water, rivers, lakes, or fishing from the boat and the more people we can get involved the better time everyone will have and the more opportunity someone will have to meet people to go out with. When you have a large group you can always find someone to kayak with and some place to do it so if you can't make the official event because of time, work or location you can probably find another event. I look forward to passing out the info cards I printed from the web sites to new people I meet on the water and around town.

  •  Wow, that sounds great! I took my new kayak out on Couchville Lake at Long Hunter State Park this morning. It was chilly but a lot of fun! I will have to try to join you!

  •  Thanks again for the invite. It was great to get my feet wet (not to mention the rest of me) on the Piney. It was a great group of people. I look forward to more paddling and group outings.

  •  Thanks for the heads-up on the Location in my profile, Carol. I didn't notice that, but I've fixed it now.
