We are a group of kayakers who enjoy paddling on lazy rivers, ponds, lakes, and oceans. Our average paddle is approximately 12 miles, but we have been known to do more than 25 in a day, or as little as 1 mile. To join this group you must have a working knowledge of kayaking and both self and assisted rescue skills. We require all members to wear a PFD at while kayaking with this group. Paddle floats and pumps are a must as well. All boats must have fore and aft bulkheads or airbags.

Started in China 2,300 years ago, dragon boat is a competitive sport where long, sleek boats holding 20 paddlers, a drummer, and a steerer race down a 500 meter course.
