We're a bunch of happy paddlers who like to have fun paddling on flat water (lakes, lazy rivers, tidal estuaries, the ocean), not whitewater. Join this group to find someone to paddle with and friends to go on car and kayak camping trips.
Meet other local Adventure Racing Enthusiasts. Adventure Racing is an emerging sport that combines multiple activities like running, paddling and mountain biking with a navigation component.
This Meetup group is here to help bring together anyone interested in adventure racing and to support the local AR community with training outings, skills development, and racing opportunities. Above all, we're here to have fun!

I decided to start the Triangle Surfers Club as a means for Triangle surfers to connect, get to know each other and possibly plan surf trips together, even if it's just to Carolina beaches~! I'm born and raised in central Florida (Cocoa Beach and Southern Brevard County) and grew up with people like Kelly Slater, Matt Kechelle and etc. I have surfed the East Coast from Florida- N.C, Costa Rica (my favorite~!), Hawaii, Puerto Rico and the strangest place of all...Lake Michigan~! I look forward to …

This group is looking for a few like minded people (sustainability, conservation...) looking to connect with those who understand that adventure starts when things don't go as planned. When the crowd goes north, 180 degrees south sounds pretty good. It's for advanced backpackers / kayakers looking for escape that creates positive change in character or soul. Trips should be long enough to really get a to know a place, and feel like you did something. Not bragging rights; just introspection a …
Dads with all aged kids are welcome. It's time to show the kids how dads do playtime. I'm thinking miniature golf, soccer, maybe a paddle boat race at Shelly Lake, a few trips to some museums or the zoo, hiking a few nature trails, or setting up our tents for camping. This is not a self-help group. This is a group for dads that want to get out and do something active with their kids.
